THE KENT BARN, HIGHAM

THE KENT BARN, HIGHAM

The Kent Barn is an ongoing project. Last year, alongside the build of Oak Tree stables we undertook temporary works to include a structural scaffold to support the barn, removal of trees (which managed to grow through the barn), removal of the roof and temporary weathering for the winter.

This year the client and Bonnex aim to restore the barn to her former glory, structurally with the roof weathered with reclaimed Kent peg mix and timber cladding.

With a careful approach along with our supply chain, we are in the process of completing the restoration of the timber – blending old with new, and working with the conservation officers throughout the process.

We have designed a temporary support process which enables us to undertake the repairs in a safe manner.
